Stripper and strip club related pictures, videos and text posts. This blog is run by Miss Kate Hate . We accept submissions here and ask questions here. There's also a list of the Strippers of Tumblr compiled by ClubPatron. This blog is inappropriate for those under 18, so if you're not old enough to be a stripper, please leave. Also not safe for non-sex industry work. Here is a really awesome FAQ written by bitter--bitch.
generally, I don’t agree with eighteen year olds being strippers, despite the fact that I am one myself. the people I went to school with and the experience I’ve had with people my age are usually that of someone in the process of developing- please, remember that once you hit eighteen, it doesn’t mean you’ve jumped straight into being an adult, there’s still growing up to do.
so many eighteen year olds don’t have the emotional maturity or stability to take on a job as a stripper, and while they’re doing their job, they go on with it thinking that there’s going to be no mental consequences for their actions. If you’re under twenty, you need to ask yourself these questions before entering a career in the sex industry:
1. Can you be intimate with someone you’re not even remotely physically attracted to?
2. Can you deal with rejection almost every night?
3. Can you deal with personal remarks about your body that aren’t always flattering?
4. Are you able to detach yourself emotionally from sexual acts? (even if they’re simply getting naked and grinding on someone’s lap)
5. Are you able to handle the social slam that will inevitably come with your career choice? People in real life aren’t like they are on Tumblr. If you tell new friends that you’re a stripper, people will often have made assumptions so strong about you that it’ll be difficult to form any kind of new relationship with someone who knows about your career.
6. Are you able to cope with the physical and mental strain of the job? This will be the biggest workout of your life and you’ll be doing it every night. You’ll be sweaty and gross and you’ll have to wipe yourself down and do it again and again.
7. A lot of people will automatically assume that you want to have sex with them purely because you’re a stripper. Whenever I go out socially and tell men my career (i’m afraid I’ve only ever had this experience with men), they often make advances despite knowing I’m in a relationship then act surprised when I’m offended. (“But you’re a stripper!”)
There really are so many cons to being a stripper, it’s not all glitz and glamor, please take my word for it. I love my job, but it was an informed decision that I made to become a stripper and it requires a lot of emotional stamina. If you’re considering entering into this profession, please take a month or so to think it over and think of the ramifications it’s going to have on your social, personal and sex life. Be safe. <3
